Puppy 101: Socialization and Basic Skills
Socialization and Obedience for Puppies up to 5 Months
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
Puppy class focuses on the socialization needs of younger dogs. In addition to learning basic obedience commands, this class teaches puppies to meet new people, items, and places with the skills to safely and confidently grow and learn about the world. Students who participate in this class are encouraged to take the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test at graduation.
Manners 101: Adolescent Socialization and Basic Skills
Manners Class Specifically for Adolescent Dogs Age 6-12 Months
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
This manners class uses fun games and positive methods provide real life skills to help manage those terrible teens! Special attention is given to adolescent problems like recurrent chewing, door manners, and much more. Evaluation for placement in class may apply if no puppy class taken.
Manners 102: Adult Dog Basic Skills
Manners Class for Adult Dogs, Rescues or Adolescents Who Have Completed Manners 101
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
This is your traditional obedience class taught with a focus on fun and daily life. Whether you have been teaching your dog at home or have already taken a basic manners class, this course can prepare you for a world of fun, function, and training with your dog. Upon completion, students have the option to complete the C.L.A.S.S. BA level evaluation. An additional fee applies for testing.
Manners 201: Intermediate Skills
Intermediate Obedience for Adult Dogs, Rescue Dogs, and Approved Adolescent Dogs
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
This class offers intermediate and advanced obedience training based around the growing sport of Rally Obedience. Obstacle courses are designed to test skills like leave it, loose leash walking, and stay/come with real distractions...can your dog resist the fresh chicken and rice in the food dish? Upon completion, students have the option to complete either the C.L.A.S.S. MA level evaluation or the Canine Good Citizen evaluation. An additional fee applies for testing. Completion of a basic obedience course or instructor approval is required.
Scent Work 101: Intro to Canine Scent Work
Scent games for dogs of all ages and sizes, regardless of breed or mix
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
Scent work, nosework, nose games...no matter what you call it, we call it fun! This intro level class focuses on how scent travels, how dogs follow to source, and how to teach this "game" to any dog. Great for insecure dogs or those with anxiety issues.
Scent Work 102: Intermediate Canine Scent Work
Scent games for dogs of all ages and sizes, regardless of breed or mix
7 week sessions | $135 per dog/handler team
This scent work class takes the game to a whole new level as vehicle searches, exterior searches, and odor are introduced. Previous scent work classes or proof of a K9 Nose Work seminar required.
Recess
Trick and Game Training
4 week sessions | $100 per dog/handler team
More than your typical tricks class! Tricks and games are a great way to build a bond with your dog and increase your dog's confidence level. In this class, students learn how to teach tricks while at the same time sampling some of today's hottest dog sports. This class is taught with clicker, so please let us know if your dog needs to be introduced to this pet friendly tool.
Leash Maniacs
Handling and helping the leash aggressive dog
90 minute seminar with Q&A, no dogs
plus one 45 minute private per team | $125 per dog/handler team, $60 seminar only
Dogs today suffer from all sorts of fear, aggression, anxiety, and frustration thanks to the leash. This class provides a seminar full of information on how to read your dog, handle difficult situations, and tips on improving your dog's behavior on leash. The individual privates then provide the opportunity for you to "put it together" with our help.
Paws About Town
Real World Classes
4 week sessions | $100 per dog/handler team
This training class meets in a different location each week! Parks, coffee shops, and pet boutiques are just some of the fun places we will meet to work on helping our pups practice social skills and basic cues like sit, wait, and focus. This is a great refresher course for dogs with previous training or an opportunity to bring your puppy out for some safe socialization.
