Our Services
Group Classes
Our group classes offer a range of options for puppies just discovering the world to some of those Feisty Fidos* that just can't behave on leash. Not all classes are offered at all times, so please check with us often for schedule updates and curriculum additions.

Private and In-Home Lessons
Private and in-home lessons are available for all levels of training, and can be structured to focus on individual needs. Does your dog react to the doorbell? Your puppy won't stop chewing on the rug? Or maybe you are concerned about fun activities to help your dog lose weight? We are always happy to work one on one for any range of issues...we'll even help you teach your dog a few fun tricks to show off at your next family get together!
Canine Good Citizen Evaluation
The American Kennel Club's Canine Good Citizen Program is a great way to show insurance companies, landlords, and family and friends just how friendly your canine is. We can provide preparation training or just evaluations. No previous training is required to take the test, but it is advised that you review the Canine Good Citizen Participant's Handbook to ensure your dog is ready for the test.
If you are a rescue, shelter, or other dog related group, contact us about scheduling a testing date. We can do events or testing dates with proceeds benefiting your group. Contact Shelly for details or to schedule a date.
Behavior and Nutrition Consultations
We are happy to provide nutrition consultations and discuss holistic approaches to many of today's pressing canine problems. We prefer to work in conjunction with your vet's recommendations to assure total and complete care for your dog's mind, body, and spirit.
New Dog Selection Assistance
Most shelter dogs are there due to a behavioral problem that could have been addressed or because the dog's personality and lifestyle needs did not match that of their owner. We think it is essential to help you choose the right match in order to build lifelong relationships. That is why we offer consultations on breed and personality selection at no charge. We are happy to speak with you over the phone or in person, and we can even visit the shelter or breeder with you to help choose your next family member.
Referrals
We are always happy to provide referrals to other dog care professionals. We have a list of recommended veterinarians, day cares and boarding kennels, and even other training professionals if we feel your dog's issue is outside the scope of our practice.
*Feisty Fido is loosely used, and refers to dogs who are reactive. It is a term borrowed from Patricia McConnell and Karen London's booklet Feisty Fido: Help for the Leash Aggressive Dog.
